Born out of the COVID pandemic, GaragePod formed to give our children meaningful social interactions at a time when their school day was limited. We created an after school program in our garage with a library, instruments, games, laboratory tools and so much more. What came next was completely organic: some children preferred to be outside at our mud kitchen or collecting loose parts from nature while other podsters used the garage to quietly tinker, draw or craft. We realized we hit upon something special with children: they have an amazing natural rhythm and will show you exactly what they need. We've expanded all of our programming to be rooted in this child-led philosophy. Now, no longer in the back of our apartment building, GaragePod has moved to 125-127 Main Street in Dobbs Ferry.
