One day, while watching the children play, Sam had an idea.
He asked Paula if she would gather some twigs and form GaragePod out of them.
So she did.
Over the next several days, kids played while Paula hot glued the sticks.
In November, the stick sign was hung up in Sam's garage. The kids felt really special. They felt like they were walking into a space that was more than just a garage during a pandemic.
Paula even made Sam a shirt using our new logo!
But, it was time for us to leave the garage and move to 127 Main Street!
We brought our stick sign with us and like before, it became part of our fabric.
But Sam knew he still needed a proper store facade sign. In came his wife Ana...
Ana Szyld is a trained interior designer, woodworker, sculptor and the most industrious human Sam has ever met. She vectorized an image of the sticks and turned it into an AutoCAD file.
We worked with Malcolm, the ingenious talent behind Sultz Fabrication. He sent the CAD file to a company that laser cuts large sheets of steel. The steel arrived and Malcolm and his team got to work on weathering and painting the steel.
A worker paints the steel letters black.
In Malcolm's studio, Ana admires the steel round for our GP Studios sign.
Our signs have arrived!
